Understanding to the meaning in short functional text and essay in form of narrative, spoof, and hortatory exposition in daily life context and for accessing knowledge.

II.            Basic Competence
Responding to the meaning and rhetoric steps in an essay accurately, fluently and acceptably, which use variety of written language in daily life context and for accessing knowledge in the form of narrative, spoof, and hortatory exposition text.

III.            Indicators
·         Identify the communicative purpose, generic structures and language features of narrative text.
·         Analyze the intrinsic elements of narrative text.
·         Compare and evaluate their friends’ analysis with their own analysis.

·         Teacher distributes the readingand asks the students to read a narrative text entitled The Myth of MalinKundang.

Students group discussion
·         Student work in group of four and search in the internet one narrative text about legend.
·         Students discuss in the group to read and analyze the intrinsic elements of narrative text based on the text.
·         Students create a glogdraft that contains their discussion result in analyzing the intrinsic elements of narrative text that they find.

·         Teacher asks the students to work in group of 4 and find one narrative text about legend from the internet.
·         Teacher asks the students to read and analyze the intrinsic elements of the text.
·         Teacher asks the students to create a theglogdraft that contains their discussion result in analyzing the intrinsic elements of narrative text that they find and write in progress draft sheet.
·         Teacher monitors the students while they are discussing and analyzing the narrative text by asking some questions.

·         Students share their link glog draft to their friends.
·         Students explore and give comments on their friends’ glogdraft.
·         Students learn what to improve for their glogfrom the comments and feedback from the teacher.

·         Teacher asks the students to give comment on their friends’ glogdraft.
